CMA Testing, under the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA), has launched Hong Kong’s first Care Food Certification Scheme early this year. In an interview with HOY TV, Chairman Mr. Lok Pak-keung mentioned that the scheme tests and assesses applicant products according to Greater Bay Area (GBA) standards in which CMA Testing is one of the drafting units. He said that through technical, product development, and standards support, the scheme helps professionalise care food and related products, enabling users to enjoy food of consistent quality across the GBA.
Chairman Lok further noted that the common specifications can serve as technical guidelines and support cultural heritage and promotion. He also emphasised that GBA standards facilitate connectivity in infrastructure and livelihood areas, while strengthening economic and trade exchanges among Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Macao.
