The Government of Hong Kong has established Air Quality Objectives (AQOs) in the Air Pollution Control Ordinance (Cap. 311). These AQOs are designed to protect public health and the environment from the effects of air pollution.
Why CMA Testing
CMA Testing provides first-class outdoor air quality monitoring services for various projects include government projects, civil projects, construction projects, and green building assessment projects. Our ultimate goal, in the long run, is for regional air quality to completely meet the emission reduction objectives set out by the WHO.
Air quality monitoring services measure several key air pollutants. These pollutants include particulate matter (PM), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), ozone (O3), and carbon monoxide (CO). Additionally, the air quality monitoring services may also measure other pollutants, such as lead, nitrogen oxides, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Governance
The data collected from the air quality monitoring services is utilized to guarantee that the air quality objectives (AQOs) set by the Government of Hong Kong are achieved.
Some of the key air pollutants are as follows:
- Sulphur Dioxide (SO2)
- Respirable Suspended Particulates (PM10)
- Fine Suspended Particulates (PM2.5)
- Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2)
- Ozone (O3)
- Carbon Monoxide (CO)
- Lead (Pb)
