About

Along the production, our inspection services are developed in line with your production process so as to ensure certain percentage of completed products complying with quality requirements at different points of stages along the production line which in return minimize the potential risk of huge financial loss due to product deficiency after mass production. With wide coverage of inspection points as well as years of experiences on inspection for consumer products, CMA Testing helps not only relieving the manpower, but also saving QC staff cost, flight cost and traveling time / cost.

Certified by General Administration of Quality Supervision Inspection and Quarantine of P.R.C. (AQSIQ), CMA Testing is qualified to conduct third party inspection on import & export commodity in China.

By our concerted effort, we believe and target to streamline your production line, improve your supply chain efficiency, assure and maintain your product quality, enhance your product penetration in market as well as minimize your average expenses and reliable quality solution partner.

Initial Production Check (IPC)

An Initial Production Check (IPC) or Initial Production Inspection (IPI) inspects the product in factory line at the beginning of production. We check samples when the production of approximately 0% ~ 20% of the shipment has been completed or partly completed.

The objective of an Initial Production Check or Initial Production Inspection (IPI), which is identify defective materials or components at the initial stage of production are inspected to ascertain conformity with specific requirement, minimizing the risk of non-conformities and allowing for timely corrections where necessary.

It can also help client to raise out the component or material defective to reduce their risk, ensure Buyer specification are requests are well understood by the factory, preview the production process and avoid additional cost before or during production.

During Production Check (DUPRO)

During Production Check is one of effective way to quality control finding the actual status of the production order. We check samples when the production of approximately 30% ~ 50% of the shipment quantity has been completed.

It can help you to identify defective material prior the production process to minimize the risk of non-conformities and allowing for timely correction when necessary. It is costly if FRI – Final Random inspection found failed result, client will spend much time to negotiate with factory to re-work or re-produce the products.

Beside the product quality problem found will be reporting, some further information may be reported as well, such as:

  • Manufacturing status of the order
  • Production line finding
  • Components stock status, finished and work in progress goods
  • Production and Shipment schedule status
  • Defects identification
  • Photo of production line, inspected sample, defects reference

Final Random Inspection (FRI)

As you knew that it takes place at the end of production, which is one of a range of on-site production inspection. The whole shipment quantity should be finished and available for sampling. Packing should be almost finished (100% completed and 80% packed), so that inspector can check the information of external carton and cartons can be counted during FRI.

For FRI, we should verify the product safety, quantity workmanship, function, color, size, packing and more prior to shipment, safeguard the shipment according to international sampling procedure (Such as AQL) or any client specific methods to ensure the product is consistent and compliant with requirements.

As above mentioned, three main points can trigger the failure of the inspection, so that this is very important for us to alert:

1. Conformity to specification or client requirements:

All the relevant aspects of products should be controlled: quality, components (Such as BOM), assembly, aesthetics, function, size (Measurement chart), labelling, packaging etc.

2. Number of visual defects:

Based on AQL, our inspector should selected a predefined no of products at random, we should base on our CMA general inspection requirement (Such as Defect Classification list of difference products) or client specific requirement to justify the defect during FRI. For CMA, we will issue official report within one working day.

3. On-site test:

Difference products have difference testing during FRI, so that we will base on international test to conduct the on-site test (For example, drop test, hi-pot test, strength test etc.) to ensure the sample breaks or does not function etc.
