SVHC including：
- CMR – Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or Toxic (for reproduction) Chemicals classified under Directive 67/548/EEC
- PBT – Persistent, Bio-accumulative and Toxic
- vPvB – very Persistent and very Bio-accumulative
From 28 Oct 2008, EU & EEA suppliers of articles which contain substances on the Candidate List in a concertration abrove 0.1%(w/w) must provide sufficient information, available to them, to their customers on request of consumers within 45 days of the receipt of this request. This information must ensure safe use of the article and as a minimum, include the name of a substance.

On 27 June 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has added one new chemical to the candidate list of substances of very high concern (SVHC), becoming the 31th SVHC substances. The Candidate List of SVHC now contains 241 entries for chemicals. Details please click here.
