Congratulations to eConnect Employment Network on its 10th anniversary! At the recent “Sustainable Development Seminar”, Dr. Winnie WU (Senior Sustainability Consultant, from supporting organization CMA Testing) shared key insights:
🔍 Companies often lack quantifiable metrics for the “S” in ESG, leading to an exaggerated “risk perception” about hiring persons with disabilities.
✅ Her recommendation: Establish clear standards across three levels –
1️⃣ Input
2️⃣ Process & Quality
3️⃣ Output & Impact
🤝 She also urged NGOs to shift from traditional service delivery to a “talent supply chain” mindset, providing stable talent pipelines and job redesign support – turning obligation into business opportunity.
Organised by eConnect Employment Network (a coalition of 8 social service agencies), the event centred on “Cross-sector Collaboration • Workplace Inclusion” and has engaged over 400 corporate partners. Survey findings reveal that >90% of citizens believe businesses must shoulder social responsibility, and nearly 65% prefer to patronise inclusive employers. Inclusive employment is now a proven driver of brand trust, talent stability, and ESG leadership.
