This year, we are proud to showcase our new service: Care Food Testing Services.
The “Care Food GBA Standard” is the first GBA standard in the silver economy led by Hong Kong. CMA Testing played a key role as a third-party testing agency in its development, providing comprehensive technical support to enhance product quality and food safety.
We offer testing, inspection, and certification services based on this standard. By integrating international expertise with local GBA needs, we ensure products are safe and reliable, meeting the practical demands of cross-border elderly care.

In the golden autumn of October, the 21st “Shanghai Sail” Economic, Trade, and Cultural Exhibition officially launched at the Hungexpo Exhibition Centre in Budapest, Hungary, and the Austria Center Vienna.
As one of the largest overseas self-organized exhibitions from Shanghai in recent years, this tour focused on six major industrial clusters, including high-end equipment, new energy, and biopharmaceuticals. It attracted 139 outstanding enterprises from these six pillar industries in Shanghai, along with several industry associations, covering numerous fields such as light industry, chemicals, home textiles, energy-saving engineering, drones, artificial intelligence, fintech, and medical devices. The exhibition attracted over 5,000 visitors for on-site viewing and business discussions, with an exhibition area of 4,218 square meters. It effectively promoted in-depth alignment of industrial chains between China and Europe and helped Shanghai enterprises explore the Central and Eastern European markets.
CMA+ Technology Commercialization Platform: A Key Bridge for Transforming Innovative Achievements
At the “Shanghai Sail” exhibition, CMA Testing and its CMA+ technology commercialization platform also garnered significant attention. The core advantage of this platform lies in its ability to bridge the industrialization path for innovative technologies, providing domestic enterprises with comprehensive support from R&D to market entry and international expansion.
The CMA+ platform helps enterprises access cutting-edge technological resources and achieve product innovation and upgrading by connecting them with research teams and innovative projects from renowned universities in Hong Kong. Simultaneously, leveraging Hong Kong’s unique position as a “super-connector,” it provides an ideal first stop for enterprises going global, ensuring that innovative achievements can successfully enter the global market.
At the exhibition site, CMA+ presented multiple success cases. These products attracted strong interest and enthusiastic inquiries from professional visitors on-site, fully demonstrating the practical effectiveness of the technology commercialization platform in promoting innovation and global expansion.
Looking Ahead: Building a New Ecosystem for Innovative Global Expansion
As the restructuring of global industrial chains accelerates, CMA Testing and CMA+ will continue to deepen their technology commercialization services. By constructing a full-chain service system encompassing “technological innovation – product development – market access,” they aim to assist more Chinese enterprises in achieving innovative development and global layout.
Leveraging Hong Kong’s unique advantages as a hub and its international professional service capabilities, CMA Testing will fully play its role as a “super-connector,” helping mainland enterprises connect with international innovation resources, expand overseas markets, and enable more Chinese innovations to reach the global stage.

On 5 November 2025, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has added 1,1′-(ethane-1,2-diyl)bispentabromobenzene to the candidate list of substances of very high concern (SVHC). The Candidate List of SVHC now contains 251 entries for chemicals.
Entry added to the Candidate List on 5 November 2025:
| Substance Name | EC No. | CAS No. | Reason for inclusion | Use |
| 1,1′-(ethane-1,2-diyl)bis[pentabromobenzene] (DBDPE) | 284-366-9 | 84852-53-9 | Very persistent and very bioaccumulative, vPvB (Article 57e)) | Flame retardant |
Under REACH, companies have legal obligations when their substance is included – either on its own, in mixtures or in articles – in the Candidate List.
If an article contains a Candidate List substance above a concentration of 0.1 % (weight by weight), suppliers have to give their customers and consumers information on how to use it safely. Consumers have the right to ask suppliers if the products they buy contain substances of very high concern. Importers and producers of articles have to notify ECHA if their article contains a Candidate List substance within six months from the date it has been included in the list (5 November 2025).
Under the Waste Framework Directive, companies also have to notify ECHA if the articles they produce contain substances of very high concern in a concentration above 0.1 % (weight by weight). This notification is published in ECHA’s database of substances of concern in products (SCIP).
